    Im thinking about geting a B7S4...

    Hi guys,

    How much more expensive is it to own a S4 Tiptronic compaird with my 2.0TDI MT6?
    What MPG do you get in a S4 Tip?
    Service price differance?
    Incurance?

    The actuall price of the car aint that big of a deal but i want to be able to use it as my everyday car. I drive about 650-900miles every month.

    Well you cost is far different from our cost because your in Sweden (I'm Swedish btw!) And you might want to put this is the s4 forum for a lowdown on those cars. We don't get the TDIs here so I can't help you out on that front either. The S4 MPG should be 15-17 city and 20-25 highway

    But what would you say about changing from an A4 to S4 and use it everyday?

    You will most likely almost cut your mpg in half with a S4 compared to the TDI. It's a 2.0 diesel engine VS a 4.2 thirsty bastard!

    How are the diesel prices in Sweden compared to the gasoline? In Norway they are now identical.
    But if I bought me a S4 I wouldn't think about the mpg....I would just drive drive drive and smile smile smile!!

    The diesel is actully more expensive in sweden than the gas!! [:O]

    And i get aprox. 2000kr from my work in "fule compensations" and with a gasprice thats hitting 13.5 kr/liter (thas about $8/gal for you americans so stop whining!! :P) i get about 150liters per month in gas. Litle less diesel (its just over 14kr/L). So in that mather i would save money buying a S4 HAHA! :D

    Paying a gasprice thast 75% tax aint fair :(

    ...and google helped me calculate my MGP and currently its at 26-27 MPG. So the trade feels more and more realistic!

    My mom loves my car and have sice i bought it said that she wanted to buy it, Think i migth give here a call... ;)

    if you can afford it, i doubt anyone would tell you not to buy an S4. it will be much more fun than your tdi. however, since money doesnt grow on trees AND you pay 8 bucks a gallon for gas, there are probably much wiser investments to make.

    Go for it! Car looks sweet! 280 000SEK............That's about 100 000SEK less then what I payed for my 2005 1.8TQ!!!Sweden is so close, but yet so far!

    Yeah and its what i payed for my TDI. I know, norways car prices is insane!

    FYI in stop-n-go driving the S4 V8 gets only 12-14mpg's. But the V8 sure sounds good!
