I noticed yesterday that my coolant temp gauge was acting very erratic and it doesn't warm up very much at all. At first I thought it was time to replace the CTS, however I also noticed that my oil temp won't raise much either.

What are the chances that it is 2 sensors gone bad? Do you guys know anything else that could be causing this? Thanks in advance.

You are taking the car for more than a 15 min cruise right? BTW I'm in Charlotte and I cruise up to Hickory everyonce and a while so If your ever trying to meet up face to face just let me know.

Yeah - I drive around 20 min to work each way. The guage actually started going up like normal but then got all erratic. I'm guessing it's the CTS and maybe the oil takes longer to warm up.

I'd definitely be down for meeting up. I am planning on doing the Stage 3 swap in Concord at my buddy's house whenever the turbo lady comes a-singing. I'll PM you my info.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm getting ready to purchase Jay's TB kit (as soon as I save up $350 or whatever) so I can check that out when I do that. Hopefully it's something easy.

+1 thats more than likely your problem for the water temp....it's not going to damage anything in the short-term. Engines are designed to work in a specific temp range....so riding around for a year + you could have problems, but for a couple weeks - 2 months I wouldn't be really concerned about it. Happened to my last m3, and I rolled around for like 2-3 months before I replaced it, and didn't have any problems.
