I cant get the drivers side in. I trimed the bumper and followed ecode's install to the T. What am i missing....?

Heres some pics. I know i could trim it more and get it to fit but the point is i shouldn't have to.

    Here's the install instructions: http://www.ecodetuning.com/fmic.pdf

push the pipe as far into the hose as you can, looks like you just need to do some trial and error

The front-on picture looks as if the right side of the IC is lower than the left side. Make sure the IC is level, and it looks like it might move the tubing out of the way slightly more.
calm the fuck down. it's all relative.

Have a look at the third pic.
Its tilted down like that right now because the pipe that comes out the right side needs to fit under the fog light housing in the bumper. If it wasn't tilted the bumper would be much worse.

loosen all your connections, wiggle, push, repeat. Start from the ic core.

That should help the most. Both pipes should be touching each other inside the hose.

yeah typically it's just that the pipes aren't close enough to eachother in the sleeves, or the pipes are just too long in general and need hack-sawing (my racetec and gtrs)

Ya, hopefully it's just that easy.

Pulling the bumper off for the first time was a PITA.

I was starting to get frustrated, that and a few beers in.

its not an ultrasport is it? If so then im pretty sure the front bumper is a little shorter and uses a thinner rebar than the other b6's

Re: HELP NEEDED! Ecode FMIC Install

    Got it all done

All i had to do was trim the IC outlet pipe a little (3 inches to be exact). The bumper slid right on with out any problems.

I think i striped both the bolts for the bumper crossmember tho.

Re: HELP NEEDED! Ecode FMIC Install

I had to do the same thing when installing the 1st version back in 04. Mine was the turbo outlet pipe though. My bumper never lined up perfect for some reason (shifted L->R) which might have been the reason, Glad you got it figured out...
