Is it possible to overtighten them to cause a misfire? When i did mine I used a torque wrench to tighten to 22lbs is that too much? I have a 2.8 A6

Probably a bad coil pack causing your misfire.

Did you make sure they were all gapped the same?

make sure all your sensors are plugged in tightly, especially the plugs to your coils.

Check the correct gapping, make sure plugged in with coil pack, make sure that you got ones that werent 1.99, and if thats all good, you have a faulty plug possibly.
