    B6 to B7 RS4 body kit conversion

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So, while searching the interweb for some bodykit options I stumbled across this...

Choose from Two RS Four Look Kits Available - Full or Lite

At first I thought it looked terrible. Then I thought I would look like a total cock if I actually bought that. Then I thought, it's really not that bad looking. Then I came to the conclusion I had better talk to you guys first.

FYI, I was planning on going with a Caractere front and just painted lowers and rear, on stasis street sport coilovers and 18" RS4 reps from VMR.

I saw that also, started thinking about how it would look. Wonder if anyone has done it with this kit?

Re: B6 to B7 RS4 body kit conversion

Dude, do what you think looks good. If i had to make a choice it would be the full kit. The lite kit looks awful in my opinion. I have never like it when the rings aren't heading the car.

I agree about the grill. If I were to consider this it would have to be with the Rings.

    Eh, I don't know.

What does everyone think about my other option?

Thats probably why I will steer clear, 1500 for the kit is way to much.

That kit from LLtek looks terrible IMHO...go w/ the Caractere as it looks classy and compliments the B6 nicely.

yes do what you think looks good, to each his own. my opinion is that the kit looks like straight up ebay junk, even if it fits well. i absolutely love the way my B6 front end looks, otherwise i'd get a B7. the two shouldn't be crossed. just my .02 cents though.

So I've been doing some searching, looking for a nice, aggressive kit for some time now. cuz lets face it, the b6 doesn't look as aggressive as it should, ya know, since it's wielding that V8 in there. So I was thinking, what are your guys' thoughts on taking the b6 to b7 conversion from lltek, combine it with the boser hood, and this Koenigseder rear . I know some of you dislike the lltek, but its just an idea. You could also substitute your preference of front bumper for the lltek as well.

lets hope that link worked..im not sure if I did right

I like the B6 S4 rear more than the Koenigseder, because of the line that runs through that bumper.

Nothing that you mentioned looks good with a B6. Maybe, and just maybe, (by a **** hair) does the boser hood look good. The "b7" kit looks like a rhinoplasty job gone wrong and that rear you linked to just doesn't fit the look of the rear of the car.

yea, it does have that seam right through the middle of it..but I like to think that after having it a while..you might not even notice it anymore..it might even grow on you..thats what happen to a buddy of mine with his sti. It had a big ol' blue racing stripe down the middle that he originally was going to remove, but after a while, he decided to keep it.

For the cost of that kit and the cost of installation you could sell your b6 and buy a b7.

Unless you just love the looks I would close the book on it.

I respectfully disagree. As much as I love my s4, I wish it had a little more aggressiveness to it. There doesn't seem any really effective kits out there either. And I don't understand why. I mean, BMW, Lambo, Ferarri, etc has LibertyWalk, Scoobies have GRB, that FR-S(BR-Z) has the rocketbody, I don't understand why there isn't already a widebody for the b6..hell...even the b5 has a nice kit.

Probably because the B6 with a USP front and Cupra R lip look plenty aggressive without making it look like a joke.

I don't like either kit. Just get a B7 instead. Go USP lower valence!! Screw trying to make a B6 look like a B7... And IMO the B7 is for girlies. No offense to women but if i had a wife I'd buy her a B7 while I stick with my B6.

No need for bodykits, oem plus is key on a B6.

1000% agree on the B7 remarks. It's like a civic has sex with a B6 and the civic had the dominant genes.

Ha exactly! When the B7 came out I was like "what the hell is this?!?" I'd feel rather flamboyant driving a damn B7. They really went backwards on that body design.

x2^ I think the tail lights are whack on the B7, but I like that huge grill in the front. On the b6, the front bumper sorta divides the top and the bottom, that's why I like the lltek. Im not saying the b6 looks bad..not by any means..but I don't see anything wrong with a little face-lift..maybe the lltek is a little much...very well...Im just trying to see if anyone knows of some kits or parts that I have over looked

PreciseD: As for that USP...to tell you the truth I think I already have that...I didn't put it on but I think the previous owner did...and I really do like that Cupra Lip..i just feel like theres not enough there to make a noticeable difference.

Well you could always do what I did and make your own Splitters.

    Then mold the bumper

It's a molded USP and my custom made splitters. I made them from a cupra R lip. I'm actually about to make another set for my other B6.

ah..ic...yea I like that...I think I might go that route.....and it sounds pretty easy on the wallet..i mean..i saw the lip for 60 and the valence for 350..i think..so that doesn't sound too bad

only thing is...my b6 is silver

I got mine on eBay for 97 shipped and the lip from ECS for 80 shipped. You will need to modify your a4 bumper. Check for the DIY USP thread.

Yes you will need a A4 upper bumper or USP if you want to spend the money.

My ex car, I now have a girlie B7. Happy you liked it, that was 3 or 4 years ago, I imagine all the B6 scene as changed since then, being affordable to kids in high school on a fast food chain salary an all.

alright so I just did a search and all im finding is the USP Lower, not the upper...and if I wanna go USP...im going to need both the upper and the lower..being that I have an S4..my question is...where the hell do I find the UPPER?..or do I just try and fit an A4 bumper on there and then go with the USP?

I hate girlie b7, it's worst in black or red.
