I was comming around a bend with no shoulders and barriers on either side of the road in the rain when i was cut off by some teenage asshole... hit the brakes, and proceeded to hydroplane through a huge puddle, hit the barrier, spun... airbags deployed. Fun night :) The car is sitting in a collision repair place right now. The rear quarter panel on the drivers side is banged up, trunk is kind of tweaked on that side aswell. front is mangled, not crunched (slid up against the wall), but messed up none the less. Still runs, clutch fan rubs the the rad.... blown tire, not too sure about the control arms or frame or axle... I find that out tomorrow. Looks like im picking up another one soon though.


Oh btw, audi has the most comfortable air bags... didn't have a SCRATCH, my nose is a little sore, but hardly at all.

thanks guys... yeah, the owner of the collision shop that it is sitting at told me that its prob toast but hes not 100 percent sure... would it make sense to buy it back of insurance and part it out... only 90,000 miles...how much would i be looking at spending on that?

Yeah, if there is damage to your frame, harvest any mods then its time to say goodbye. Thats terrible, I have a hard time parting with my cars.

Many people seem to make some money from buying back their cars. However it can be a very tedious process parting out your car and might not be worth it for some.

well, the car is almost deff totaled. both airbags, almost deff frame damage, front and rear are both messed up. prob going to buy it back... the engine and trans are both mint. interior is mint... ill prob just take out all of the stuff and sell the car for scrap. shit happens, what can you do

if you were going fast enough that you touched the brakes and slid on the water, then i have to wonder if there really was a teenage asshole, because he was able to pass you and turn sharper than the actual turn to get in front of you.. and he didnt slide out... whatever doesnt matter that sucks i hope everything works out.

it would have been alright but in my lane there was a huge puddle with probably 6 inches of water in it. his was just wet.... i dont think my crappy tires helpped much either. the speed limit was 60km/h i was going about 70 or so... i almost made it out of it too i probably should have kept on the gas because when i corrected and the car got traction again it kicked to one side and thats what got me... i dont even really remember the exact details, my whole life kinda flashed before my eyes... and no the other driver didnt stop.
