    im still kinda new to this whole thing, lol, but is the S on my automatic transmission sport drive? i hear its only for shorter shifting? is that the difference?

    not to sure but i always though S meant Sport mode meaning it will go to redline then shift.

    revs higher to shift = wastes gas.

    just use the manual shift mode, it's more fun. :)

    take a look in the owners manual. I do believe that when you select it, it shifts to the next gear at a higher RPM than usual. Normally this would be good but I read on another thread that the 1.8T engine doesnt produce much more power up there anyway. Like i said, take a look in the manual.

    i dont have a manual, and i also dont have the 1.8...3.slow for mee

    use D unless you're on a track basically. S mode just steals your gas
