What's the biggest tip that can fit a stock rear bumper?

I'm looking for a canister style muffler, that is matte black with a polished rolled tip, but the only size I can find is 5". Is that too big?

Sweet, another question though, just check the muffler and it has a 3" inlet. Will that be a problem? I know it usually goes 3>2.5>2.25...etc. Can the mufflers shop weld a 2.5 or 2.25 pipe to a 3" inlet?

yea they should be able to weld that i put a 2.5 inch muffler on stock piping when i had my civic

that one looks good, as long as you dont get the super rolled edge ones like the OEM mufflers in 5" you're set.

yeah they're not straight though they're sliced, or however you say that.. ahah. I like those too but I think I'd rather have a cut tip with no rolled edge.

I think a cut edge looks more ricey, when it's rolled the opening doesn't look so huge.

As long as the rolled edge isn't a HUGE roll, it'll look good

I have 5" tips i didnt know they were 5" or that they were so big when i ordered them but yes they still fit. The size doesnt even bother me though, any size looks good for me.

I just checked your claim, you have 14851's which have a 4" tip.

i guess if you get those and all else fails you could always cut the bumper. i mean trim it, and if that doesnt seem like a good idea. just take out a hammer and make it work

5" would look rediculous.. please don't do it!! Those belong on supras and skylines with those huge, single exhaust tips on the back.

I'm not quite sure what diameter my tips are (4"?), but they're made by MagnaFlow.

I checked the exact measurement on the car earlier today, 4.5" is the max and a very snug one at that. I'll probably go 4", but I just don't want a shiny canister. Oh and I'm trying to avoid buying separate tips and mufflers.

I have these Magnaflow mufflers with 4" tip and they look pretty mean with the full length barrel
