Tail light red-out.. What do you think?

So I like the style tail lights I have, but I wasn't crazy about the clear stripe in the middle. I figured they'd look much better all red.



Thoughts?

The reverse clear wouldn't have looked right because it's just part of that big strip of clear.

I just finished the other side... the reverse doesn't shine through white, but I guess I'll live with it. I don't drive much anyway.

Not hating on your style, but IMO I don't like the red or the clear strip.

I personally like the OEM ones or the LED ones.

imo find a combo that matches your color example Black and red, find a color that its combo with the silver

I think in Texas your reverse lights dont have to work to pass inspection... plus i dont think they would be out searching for that anyway.

i think it would look better with a lil rectangle of white kinda like the b7 reverse lights at least... that's just too much red.

I take it you used translucent red vinyl? Looks great IMO. I wanted to do that with my mk4, but never got to it.

my tails are completely black and my reverse lights come out red lol, im pretty sure ur good,

id say, red them out and then do 1-2 coats of a light tint, wud look hella sick
