    could this be the coilpack

everything was fine until i was coming back home, and i noticed when the car shifts gears and its at low rpms (around 2k) when i accelerate it chokes and stutters like its misfiring, but when i push the gas down more then it goes, but at low rpms or when i accelerate after it shifts, it stutters
there is no problems while it idles either, so could this be the coilpack? the only thing is i didnt get a check engine light on yet, is it supposed to come on right away, or could this be something else?

Re: could this be the coilpack

    Sounds like the coilpack...

What you can do is pop the hood while the car is idling. Remove one coilpack and check if the engine reacts .. if the coilpack is working, then you will notice your engine will change sounds..

if the coilpack is blown, then there wont be any difference, it will just sound like nothing changed

only do one coilpack at a time, becareful while doing this, dont be sloppy

Re: could this be the coilpack

No,..... i went on vacation came back last night, the car was sitting outside it might have rained i dont know,
but i drove it last night and it was fine, but on the way back i took the highway and i floored it and the 2nd time i floored it also and thats when i noticed the stutter and hesitation. So when i got off the highway every time the car would shift gears into lower rpms thats when it starts choking when i accelerate, but when i give it more then it catches and goes
    F***** kills me

Yep... its ur coilpack, just go do what I said above and you will know 100% if it is or not

You shouldn't be driving like that for long, or at all really.. take another car to the dealership and buy yourself some spare coils and keep them in the trunk at all times

Sure, you may not get the CEL right away.

Like for my car, im having some issues with it running rich all the time, it goes into safe mode (6 psi) but there is no CEL until maybe a few hours of driving, but the code still shows up under VAG.

thanks a lot man, so to remove the coilpack you just pull it off after you remove the cover, while the car is on

Re: could this be the coilpack

awesome, thanks man, i just had a question cause i just did it. When you pull them out one by one, along with the engine running worse, is it supposed to make a clickin noise while the coilpack is disconnected, cause thats what happened, when i disconnected all 4 of them, the engine did sound worse on all 4, but on the other 3 there were clickin noises when CP was disconnected and on the other one there wasnt, so thats the one that bad i guess, right
