I thinking it may be the fuel filter ( I've changed it 3 times in the last 6 years of owning it ) . I have no codes on the dash and I don't have a VAG. I've done a few fuel treatments but still

Every few days when I start the car it turns over and shuts right off I try to start it 2 or 3 more times then it stays on. It's not like it's not turning over it fires up and doesn't hold idle.
