Euro RS4s have push button start?!!

I think I'm late to notice but saw that the Euro-spec RS4s have push button start on center console. Anyone look into adapting it to our cars and what is involved? Just curious.

yes, it does! But you still have to put your key in and turn it then press the button to start the car.....

I think it has the B6 center console, so there is space for the push button start.

Would someone like to explain to me why one would give a damn if a car has a push button start and also why someone would want one. Maybe I'm just lazy but I don't really need the extra step involved when starting my car. I also get plenty of button pushing "thrills" when changing television stations and swapping back and forth between whole cubes and crushed on my icemaker.

Yeah, I don't understand the start button in the Euro RS4... .You still have to turn the key in the ignition!

Kind of useless if you still need to use the key.

The S8 has a push start where you don't need to put the key in. As long as it's on you or in the car, it will pick it up.

i have the push start in my new a4. you have to get the prestige model with the smart key. the smart key is a wonderful thing! keys stay in pocket at all times.

Not good enough. I want to walk up to the car and have it unlock too. I don't want to find my key to unlock it, only to put it away again because it's not needed to start the engine. That's just half a solution!

I have trouble enough now in other cars, I flick the key to start, and it doesn't keep going.

(It was bad enough learning to press the clutch to start a car, what is that all about? If it's just safety, how are you supposed to crank a car off the road, out of the way, when the engine dies?)

Smartkey/keyless go/Push-to-start and all other names the carmanufactorys have for the remot-key-start-things just great! Atleast the once i´ve used. Got it in my dads Volvo S80 And that car comes with a startbutton even if you dont have the keyless thing. And that is über anoying! first you got to take the key (that aint a key) and put in in a slot thing, then you need to press it to turn the ignition on and then you need to hit the start button. But the keyless funktion is sweet, the car is crap but the startsystem works flawlessly

I hate those smart keys.... My friend was standing about 7 ft from his car and some1 pulled the handle and started the car and drove off, meanwhile, the key was in my friends pocket.... turns out that the person who got in my buddy's car was his cousin.... but still! And I never know if the car is locked....

I remember when my parents had a Cayenne TT, I just left the damn thing unlocked.....

I guess i'm just old fashion, but why reinvent the wheel?
