So i recently got my boost gauge installed with the help of some people and on the T fitting tubing on one of my hoses ripped. So i cut some of the excess tubing from the awe boost gauge that they awe supplied me with and zip tied that back on, everything seems to be in working order, im just a little confused as to how much boost, stock is running?

I have a tip and when i floor the car the boost gauge stays around 10, and then when it shifts drops to about 6-8 and then goes back up around 10 again. Is that normal?

Also when i get into the higher rpm's the boost level drops to about 6-8 and when the car shifts it does that also. Is that normal?

Stock boost is around 8-9 PSI at WOT.

Sounds fairly normal, but I've never driven a stock S4

    Re: Boost Help

when the car shifts your boost will drop since it is determined by how much exhaust is coming out of the car. when you shift the rpms drop causing the boost to drop. when you go at higher rpm though you should be at a higher boost so if it goes lower at higher rpm that doesn't seem right to me. Thats just my basic knowledge of turbos though.
