i am looking at getting some H&R springs pretty soon and i have tried searching this question, but i was wondering if i just add the H&R springs to my sport suspension what should i expect out of my ride quality.. im really impressed with how the sport suspension feels. will i be losing quality for appearence?? or will the quality of the ride not be too noticeable

How much were your vmaxx coilovers, and where'd you get them from? i have tein springs right now and im thinking about putting the money that would go into new struts into those coilovers so i can adjust the height during the winter and put on some cables.

Do a search for the V-Maxx thread, Stratmosphere is doing R&D on them and they are set to ship in a month or 2. The price will retail for$600 and we will probably get a introductory rate of $500, can't beat that.

The rear are actually Koni's, the fronts were just replaced new Bilstein shocks with about 2k miles on them now. The Koni's have at least 50K on them.

When you say "much better than stock".....did you previously have the factory sports suspension, or regular suspension before you upgraded to the H&R/Bils set-up?

Is the H&R sport springs part# the same for all B6 models regardless of the factory suspension set-up the car came with?

i have h&r / bilstein and i would have to say i love it! First time i stepped into a car it felt so much different and for about 2 weeks it was really bouncy. Once it settled in the ride and drop are both great! Handling improves a lot as well, highly recommend.

Same height with any shock set-up, unless of course your front shocks are adjustable like Bilstein. You can basically raise and lower the height of the front by 1/2 inch increments via the spring perch.

Stock shocks are designed to go with the stock springs. If you use lowering springs on stock shocks, you'll destroy them in a matter of months which causes you to buy shocks and pay labor again. That happened to me in the B6 so I had to switch out the suspension twice.

In terms of height, its the springs that dictate the ride height because they support the weight of the car. However, if your shocks are blown, they lose the "rebound" and may look like they are sagging.

Had H&R/Bilstein on for about 2 weeks. Rides quality is pretty close to stock but can get bouncy at times - from what I understand shouldn't be as bad when the springs settle... hope the rear settles some more as well

had mine for about 4 months already, and it does settle a little after day 1, and does get less bouncy. for people that say the ride is better than stock, i rly duno what the hell you guys are thinking, stock is so soft and smooth and you can go over those speed bumps so nicely. im not hating on this setup, but definelty not BETTER than stock in terms of comfort.
