    H&R Coilover question

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hey guess, I found someone selling a set of H&R coilovers off his 2003 2.7t. From what he says, there are 40k miles on them and he is asking for 650 shipped. Do you guys think thats a good deal and do you think they still have life left in them?

    Re: H&R Coilover question

Thats alot of miles on a suspension, they might need to be rebuilt soon, and thats like $200 per each. Might as well spend the extra couple undred bucks and buy new!

    Re: H&R Coilover question

I recently purchased PSS9's and my Indy said from experience that the H&R system has problems around 60k or less. I would consider them for less and then plan on an expense in case they do go bad.

I've been looking into the PSS9's but not sure if they are worth the money. How is your experience with the PSS9 setup, +'s and -'s?

    Re: H&R Coilover question

Over time, H&R's tend to seize up. So you may end up stuck with them at the ride height that the previous owner had them at. You can rebuild them, but it isn't really worth it to buy used and rebuild them, unless you get them for less than that.
