    APR Throttle Body Boot Install/Review

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Ok, I received my APR TBB yesterday and tried to put it on for an hour... I didn't think it would even be an issue but I can not get the thing to go on the throttle body. Any tips or tricks I am missing? The intercooler side fits just fine. Any help is appreciated. I'm gonna screw with it more after work today.

    ***UPDATE***

Alright so it's only been a few days but initial impressions are great! My previous boot had a slight tear which is what caused me to buy this before a TIP however I have noticed my cars pulls harder, holds a higher boost level and sounds a little nicer. While the first two effects are surely from not having a tear in the boot I am very happy with the fit, looks and function. A TIP is next on my list just can't decide if I should try the APR or go with Forge.... So far I have liked both APR Products.

Also for installing, I was first putting the intercooler side on then trying the throttle body side. This led to a great deal of stress and words... When I tried to do the throttle body side first it fit like a glove, slipped the intercooler side on and was good to go.

    Re: APR TBB Install

He means a APR TB hose.

You are putting it on with the larger side toward the TB?

    Re: APR TBB Install

yea sorry, used to calling it throttle body boot. Anyways yup the large side towards the throttle body, it is close but I can't get it to slip on on side always pops off when I get the other on. I'll keep at it I just wasn't sure if I was missing something like it needed to be trimmed somehow.

Warming it up might help allow it to stretch, you can just let it sit in the sun for a little while.

    Re: APR TBB Install

It took me like 45 minutes too. I used a little bit of oil to help and I put the bottom lip on the throttle body first and really used a lot of force to get the top part on.

VICTORY IS MINE! I honestly don't know what happened but it just popped on after work today at 5. Just wanted to update. Looks sweet, I went with red. Thanks for the suggestions.
