From RS4 reps --> BBS CH's [pics]

Another wasted weekend, studying for the LSATs. Going insane, so I thought I'd take a break and post pictures of my latest "upgrade"

I was running on 19x8.5 Gunmetal VMR RS4 reps wrapped in 235/35/19 Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Positions, but wanted something with more contrast, lighter weight and bigger sidewalls...

... I "upgraded" to 18x8.5 legit BBS CH's mounted on 225/40/18 BFGoodrich Super Sports. Love the setup so far - it's more of the classy "Euro" look and I'm loving the benefits gained by dropping 22lb of unsprung rotational weight. The car handles better, and the thicker sidewalls seem to absorb bumps better as well.

Here's the funny thing.. the stealth look with gunmetal RS4 reps looks better at night than day.. the CH's look alot nicer in the daytime than at night.

Oh, and I am thinking of dropping the fronts another 0.25"

i'm not going to lie... the quality IS THERE, BBS isn't all hype. it's hard to tell "quality" in pictures, but in real life, it is noticeable (to us enthusiasts anyway). the CH's are timeless/classy/beautiful

i'm still going to miss the RS4 reps, but i'm very happy with my new purchase

haha thanks man, it's hard to capture how great BBS' look in pictures. you have to see them in real life to appreciate the rims

yup, 225/40/18's .. and nope, they're hardly stretched. i'll take some better/closer pics in the daytime

CK's were my first choice, but i was shooting for weight reduction - you're rollin on DUBS right? pictures or die

CH's have had their day on B5's, B6's and now B7's. Looks good. And you can't beat a wheel that's light and looks good. Definitely is a classic.

As much as I love CHs, I liked the look of the RS4 reps better on your car. Also the CH in 19s would be awesome, but from what i remember you went with 18's for weight savings. Nonetheless, your car still looks nice

Muff: The silver CH's look better that the gunmetal RS4s on your car. Gunmetal wheels look fantastic on Titanium packaged cars with solid colors but cars with metallic paint and alu trim look better with silver wheels IMO.

What's your current ride height? I'm going to lower my car today a bit too. I'm thinking 24" 7/8 all around. I'll try to post pics tomorrow.

i currently have gunmetal rs4 reps on my DG and love the look but you cant beat BBS wheels. ive been thinking about going with CH's for a while just wasnt sure how they would look. thanks for posting pics. looks great.

You can NEVER go wrong w/ CHs, it's a time tested classic. Having said that, your car looked awesome w/ the RS4 reps...

My Stasis SS are set at 25.5" all around - I am considering dropping the fronts to 25.25" for that slightly raked look

Yeah you've got a little but it still looks good. If you end up keeping those in the long run, I'd get 235/40/18s. Anyways, BBS power. I love mine so much more than I thought I would when I got rid of the forged Mayas.

i've actually seen quite a few S4's with those "CO" style wheels and while they look very, very similar - for some reason, the legit BBS CH's look alot better. i'm not sure if it's the "motorsports" stamp, the centercaps, or maybe if it's a different finish, but the BBS CH's look way nicer than the S4's Audi/BBS CO's. i've heard the S4 CO's weight a little more as well

fantastic choice in rims , CH's are bomb. I did have a question though are those rims the Audi OEM CH's? Some of the other CH's i've seen on other Audi's & Bimmers have more curve to them in the rear.

so i called BBS to get the BBS cap for the stock audi bbs wheels and they tell me the stock Audi wheels areCO not CH.

i took my wheels off to check and they said CH.
