hey of you guys wanna give me any opinion on what's the best way to get this done? Would you prefer hand paint or spray paint? what kinda paint do I need to buy and where? and what kinda brush do I need to use? Do i need to put clear coat after? All suggestions are appreciated.

Re: Question about painting my calipers

Duplicolor has this paint specifically for brake calipers. It comes in a spray and then they have this kit that comes with spray and a thing for doing it with brush. The brush i think will work better but the spray does a good job as well. You might want to get a steel brush and clean off any break dust or anything that might be caked on to them. I painted mine black and they came out pretty good! You can find the paint at kragen or autozone. Good luck!!

Re: Question about painting my calipers

I would hand paint if leaving on the car like i did, or if you are taking them off the car you might as well spray paint them. It will be easier for you. They have a whole kit that comes with cleaner and paint for you. It is a pretty simple job. just make sure you tape everything off very well!

Re: Question about painting my calipers

i used to paint calipers at a detail shop i worked at, we used to simply tape off the rotor, cleqan them extremely well, with a degreaser preferably, then spray a coat of primer, then hit it up witha few coats of paint to ensure complete coverage, then hit it with some clear. i would recommend the duplicolor one, but we used to use krylon before duplicolor was avaiable, it worked fine, never hqad any problems with chipping or anything, good luck and hope this helped.

Re: Question about painting my calipers

G2 caliper paint from tirerack is the way to go. For about 35 bucks you get a whole kit that has the caliper cleaner, paint, and brush. I did it that way and didn't have to tape off anything give yourself some time though because you can't drive the car for 24 hours and it takes a few hours to put a couple coats on. You can search my name and caliper paint to see pics. I can't copy and paste right now cuz I'm on my phone...
