    Anyone tried the Pioneer shallow speaker...

    Plus an amp and sealed cabinet under the speaker of course. The stock one sounds so weak. I looked at the stock installation and it appears the pioneer would slip right into that space the right way up.

    I don't really want to pull out the Sirius and cubby to put a 10" in that area.

    i have one in my avant, but in it's own box, not in the factory slot. i can say that sound quality is excellent and amazes my friends when they see how thin the profile is (the enclosure is also very thin). it produces deep rich bass
