    Re: DDM tuning

I ordered some recently and just got mine yesterday. Unfortunately, they get a LOT of orders, so they ship them out in the order that they receive them....I had to wait almost 2.5 weeks before I got mine. Luckily I wasn't in a rush, so I had forgotten about them, and then UPS brought me a surprise...haha.
I tested them out last night too.....i got the 55w ballasts with 6000k bulbs, and I must say, these things are AWESOME! There is a hugely noticeable difference between 35w and 55w ballasts. I used to have the CQ lighting p-o-s kit, and the DDM kit completely blows it out of the water. Make sure you aim your lights well, or you will literally blind oncoming traffic

Yea, I had to re-aim mine....the light distribution of this kit is much taller and wider than stock halogens

When I ordered mine they were on back order, that was back in August. Took about a week in a half to get them. I just got the 35 watt balast and its more than enough lighting.

Go to audiworlds tech articles in the exterior section. Theres i good DIY there with pics, thats what i used when i did mine. The articles title is "Clear Corners for One Piece Headlamps". I clear cornered mine when i installed the HID's. A little tip, if you have a soldering iron use that to make the holes in the back of the headlight, much easyer than drilling and you won't have to worry about drilling too far into the headlight.

Hey there, I have the cq light 600k as well. does the 55w ballast make the output whiter? because imo, my current 6000k are too blue. thanks.

    Re: DDM tuning

i would consider the 6000k hid's from ddm to be very bright white with a hint of light blue. definatly they best lookin color i've seen. looks like quality, not a cheap ricey blue color

The visibility of the DDM kit compared to the Cq lighting kit is really stellar....I also felt that the Cq kit was far too blue, making it difficult to see it certain weather conditions, especially rain.....The DDM 55w kit is a lot whiter....actually, I've hardly even noticed a hint of blue in the lights....I can see farther, and the light beam is clear, which makes it much easier to see in rainy coniditons.... It really is a great kit. Trash that CQ lighting junk and get one of these
