    Question about custom wheels...

So I just got my new wheels but realized that my lug bolts werent included. This makes sense considering custom wheels can be fitted on cars with studs or bolts. Can I use the bolts from my other wheels or if not, where do I find bolts that would fit these wheels? (WORK Varianza T1-s)

    Re: Question about custom wheels...

just make sure the bolts are long enough. 6 turns to tighten is the rule. A shop installed my friend's new wheels once with the stock lugs and they were too short. the lugs flew off while we were driving and a wheel started coming off. by the time we realized what it was (we knew something was wrong, but not what) we got out and saw that the wheel was being held on by only 1 lug and that it had been wobbling and shaving hte fender wall...

You also have to know if the wheel requires a cone or a ball seat lug.

Isn't ball usually just for OEM spec rims? Almost all Aftermarket wheels are cone seat. If you can, it doesnt hurt to check with the wheel company
