this is my current map pack. some of them are wrong. im sure of it. but some of them are correct as well (ignition).
i would love some help in identifying some of the maps. either ones i have id'ed wrong or input on totally new maps.
there is a lot to learn about the way me7 works (or any motronic for that matter). this is a hobby for me. ive spent a lot of hours in the past couple weeks just making it this far. (i have nothing else to do. ) my car runs and drives on a file i edited and flashed to my ecu. which is a pretty cool feeling. :) bosch made a very good starting point though. so much respect to them. and much respect to the other sources i have gathered information from. without them i would still be staring at my screen going "der?"
id like to think of this as a somewhat technical thread. but contribute anything you may feel is worthy of submitting. :)
below is the stock file for my ecu. 4b0 906 018p. 2000 atw, 5spd gearbox, quattro. 512kb (7ffff, 29f400). also included in the zip is my map pack.
install winols (google, winols1226.rar), open ecu bin file. then project, import, map pack.
this information is so heavily guarded, everyone can benefit in making it more available.
only ~10000>~1ffff is map data it seems. the rest is code i assume, ?.
i am a bit embarrassed in releasing the map pack. it is so incomplete and 50%+ is probably labeled wrong. anyways, .

flashing of an me7 ecu can be done with a 60$ flash cable, a 12v power source (be creative), a usb port, and the ecu in boot mode. oh, + obd>ecu harness as well. :0

you can f*ck up your ecu/car messing with any part of your ecu's file. not for the faint hearted. :p

Hello Kompresed, I ma new here and I got to your post by searching abuot flashing the ecus. I would like to know if you can tell me which tool did you use to flash your ecu? and was it through the OBD2 port? I am trying to do the same thing but I have tuners that can guide me about tuning ignition timing. I also got a 2000 A4 1.8T quattro.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

    thanks
    Hong
