Ok, I'm kinda clueless when it comes to this sort of stuff. Buying my first Audi and haven't really considered buying aftermarket parts until now. I would like to buy some new wheels for my Avant. I've picked out some that I really like but I don't know how to tell if they're even compatible with my ride, nor where to get a quality set of originals or replicas. I hope someone here can help me out and push me in the right direction. Thanks.

By the way, these S6 wheels are what I'm going for:

Well, we're going to need more than a picture to know if the wheels you want are compatible. The B8 A4 uses a 5x112 bolt pattern, 66.6mm center bore, wheel fitment ranging from 17-20" diameter and 8-9" width, and offset ranging from about ET 30-45mm depending on the setup. As you can see, there are a lot of variables to consider so shop wisely!

It totally depends on your budget. I only feel comfortable recommending BBS, HRE, Volk, Champion, Work, and a few others, if your budget will allow.

    Re: Aftermarket Wheels

If these are accurate replicas, then I guess those wheels won't work with a B8 since the offset is 52mm. Everything else seems to match though. too bad

I believe the center bore is smaller on those, but can't say for sure since it's not listed.

you can run a hub centric spacer.... try ecs tuning for the spacer, you would probably need about a 8mm spacer...

    Re: Aftermarket Wheels

is there anything inherently risky about using spacers? seems like its just another thing that could theoretically come apart on its own.

    Re: Aftermarket Wheels

You do not need a hubcentric spacer just to accomodate the center bore, a hub centric ring that matches up the center bore is all that is necessary.

As long a you get longer lug bolts to match the spacers, you will be fine. For example if you buy 20mm spacers, make sure you get lug bolts that are 20mm longer than the factory bolts and torque them down.
