is this not a fair price?

I put my stage 3 up for sale recently and hav only recived a few interested people but all want to trade me bmw's or a4's. Is my actual asking price too high for what it is or is the market just really this dead? I thought 13000 and it would ave been gone yesterday. Do you think my prices are fair?

How many miles? I think that is low. I bought mine for 15k a couple months ago

miles are 135000 but every bit of maintenance and stage 3 was done on the car after 124000. Whole timing belt setup done all new control arms suspension 02's etc.

ya, i had 140k on mine when i bought it. It was full stage 3. everything done at 100k including a rebuilt trans.

I think it's a couple of things one and the major one being the things that are wrong with your car. Not too many people like buying a headache. The other thing is like you said the market for b5 S4's sucks.

Maybe because its silver, lol. I get cash offers on my stage 3 at least a few times a month. I don't dare part with it though, its worth more than a few bucks to me...plus its my DD.

yes it unfortunate but really the market for these cars is awful...if you want around 13K for your car, the best thing you can do it part out your stage 3 and sell the car stock or something to that effect. i mean, you could put your car up for sale for 9 or 10K and get that.

i think the reason being is people who sell a4's, gti's, etc...essentially people who really want an s4, but might not have the resale value to get a low mileage or well modified s4 without any out of pocket expense, will jump all over a low priced s4 (despite the mileage). i sold my TT225 for a little more than 13000 and it only had 65K miles on it, so that i could do a even "trade" for a very very nice s4 than was well maintained.
