Replacing Cam Tensioner Seals on a 30v

Ok guys, I'm tired of my oil leak, and I know its coming from that damned half moon seal. I read through some DIYs on AW and I feel I can do this job. My questions are:

    1) Where can I buy the cam tool to compress the tensioner?
    And is this absolutely needed?
    2) The valve cover gasket on the side I'm working with has recently been replaced >5k miles.
Do I need to replace it again since I will be taking the cover off.
    3) So far I can think of a couple torx bits to get the job done. Do I need to
torque the bolts to spec? or can I get by with my hands?

My plan of attack, is to use the cam tool to compress the tensioner. Then unbolt the tensioner enough to slide out the old gasket and half moon. Followed by installing new seals, slapping the covers back on, and cracking open a cold one.
Tips, Advice, Critiques? I'm not paying someone to do this, unless a local Audi guy wants to help

i wanna buy this sucker tonight, buuuut I want to know what else I should snag too.

I'm not sure where you can buy the tool, but i've seen people fabricate their own (may have been mentioned in some of the write-ups). But to answer your question, yes, you will need this tool, or something similar, to release the tension off the chain.

As far as the gaskets go, you could probably get away with reusing the same gasket if it's relatively new, but i wouldn't chance it. Might as well replace them while you're at it.

Ok, so anybody with this tool wanna let me borrow it? I'd gladly throw some money towards it. Or a nice picture so I could try to have my brother CNC one?

I was thinking of replacing the head gasket anyways.
