turned the keys tonight and it said my left rear light wasn't working, so i checked it out. looks fine, indicator light works, brake light works, and the reverse light works. has this happened before to any of you? i'm getting my oil changed next week, should i ask my man to check out my light?

    Re: left rear light

try hitting your hand lightly against the light. sometimes the connection of the bulb to the circuit board is loose and wont show a full signal but the light will work. my lights were giving me problems for about two weeks. the message would come up but the lights would be fine. just play around with them and check them. it should go away.

also check if the rear fog light is working, located on the left side only, to turn it on you turn your headlight knob all the way to the right and pull out two clicks, gl

Mine did the same for a couple of days then the car quit telling me is was out. Must be a bad connection like 05A$SE said.

    Re: left rear light

is it the left brake light or tail light. the brake light is a dual filament bulb so it could appear on but one of the filaments is burnt out. check that out.

    Re: left rear light

The connectors for audi lights seem to be a bit fickle so it's not always a burnt out bulb but you may have to clean some contacts or bend them a bit from time to time to get them working properly.

    Re: left rear light

those lights on ebay look good, but they may trigger a bigger problem than a bulb out message

Not sure about the rears, but my front turn signal was a dual fillment...possibly rear signal also?
