ok im well beond stock, we unencrypted th ecu and are using motronic sofeware to tune. Im thinking it would be a pain in the ass to switch it to another sensor and code it all in.

    Re: 85mm maf...

so then whats wrong with using the stock MAF to tune? you are on k03s right?

why are you saying you are using motronic to tune? kind of pointless to mention it dont you think? what else can you use to tune besides motronic? standalone?

how did you "unencrypt" the ecu?

    what are you talking about?

ok first of all i an running ko4r's and i dont think any of you no what they are.
Second, i was explaining what im tuning it with as an explanation to why im not getting it done by a tuner.
Third, i have full control over the ecu and can adjust something as much or as little as i want.

Im just looking for a few quick answers and hopfally a solution to my problem.

You can't get frustrated, the reason you're not getting the "quick" answers you're looking for are because you are not giving us the information required to answer the question, if you have full controll over everything in relation to the ECU you should be able to run whatever MAF that you want?

Just have a machine shop machine a larger maf housing that will work with your sensor. Shouldn't cost to much. I believe reason most tuners use the hitachi sensor only is cause the bosch one is prone to failure. Correct me if I am wrong.

Well geez if you apparently have these super secret turbo's that none of us have ever heard before and know about all this tuning why would you even need to ask us dumbass's a question like this. Or are you just testing us?

Ok a k04r is an audi motorsport turbo. the owner of tap1 made a deal with them to sell these turbos through himself only and was never posted on his website or anywhere else. Thats why i sed you guys probably never heard of it. Also i dident want to post anything about these turbos or about my tuning because i new people would not believe anything is saying nor do i care if you blieve me or not.

    Re: 85mm maf...

youll have to excuse all the skepticism in this post b/c only a handful of people really know how to tune ME7, and the people that do mostly tune to the hitachi sensor (APR uses RS4 bosch sensor) because it is a more reliable sensor. The Bosch has been known to have issues.

You can obviously get your own MAF custom machined to accept a bosch sensor. If you are asking if you can just plop a bosch sensor into EPL's MAF housing - NO the mating surface is completely different ... and i feel the answer to that is so basic and obvious it makes me skeptical you know what you are talking about ... but thats besides the point.

good luck to your k04rs and to your tuning! id love to see the results when you finish!

    Re: 85mm maf...

Thanks for your answers. Im just trying to find out if there is a housing made that i can use the stock sensor in. The car has been sitting in the shop for two years until a few months ago when i started driving it around so i could start fixing the problems. I have no idea how any of the maps look because my dad was doing all the tuning back then and all i have right now is a scan tool. When i get results i will post them.
