This may be a dumb question but can you use a WOT box with tiptronic?

    Re: WOT Box question

No I'm not trying to shoot flames. I would like to try this out at the track to launch off the line. Instead of launching at 2300 rpm, I would like to launch at 4000 rpm or 4200 rpm.

Absolutely. You might want to look into a digital ignition controller (MSD's are common) or something similar to use as a "stutter box". A stutter box is not dependant on what kind of transmission you have.
... Although I would have to agree with b5s4tt that the chance of damage would out-weigh the benefits to your current setup.

    Re: WOT Box question

how are you launching now? do you have a torque converter with a stall or are you just holding the brake down until it doesn't hold anymore?

If you are holding the brake and have no torque converter modifications, be careful. I used to do that, before I got my torque converter, and snapped my rear diff. mount.

Yea that's what I've been doing is holding the brake and gas down at the same time and would launch that way on the stock converter. I'm not at the track on a daily basis, I just want a better launch when I'm at the track once or twice a year. My reaction time is consistent at .518, I just hate my 60 foot times.

    Re: WOT Box question

Even with a WOT box you would not be able to launch at 4200 or whatever anyhow. Your torque converter is what determines your launch RPM. Even with an aftermarket torque converter I dont think you will be able to launch at anything over 2800.
