How much boost is safe with a 3071r .63 on stock internals (CTapp 630)? I'm planning on doing the internals soon, but i'm doing everything at once so until i raise that money i'm gona run it on stock internals. its a 98.5 AEB

Every car is different in what power it makes for the setup and what the stock internals can hold. I would keep from going too much if at all over 20psi on stock rods

Re: Safe boost on stock internals

I'm running the same setup (although I wouldn't say my car is "running" right now)....but I'm gonna be running 15-16psi on low boost settings and about 19-20psi on high boost. I won't be using the high setting much at all, since my plan for going BT wasnt' to have a high HP beast, but to have around a 280whp daily driver. I don't want to have to build my internals, so I'm gonna play it safe, run low boost, and make sure the car runs tip-top so I don't damage the motor

But remember, you can also do damage to your head, regardless of WOT boost level if you over-rev it. So be safe and don't constantly push your turbo to the redline, or else bye bye motor if you happen to mis-shift or over-rev. Your bottom end isn't the only thing that can break

Re: Safe boost on stock internals

I was @ 21psi on my 28RS for a while and shes still at great compression

Then again, its all about your A/F @ that point......

make sure your tune is straight, but in essence, you should be good

But remember each car is different
