can anyone tell me what this is?? in my bumper..

i was looking at the front of my car after hearing what sounded like a rock hit my car.. and i looked near my fog lights and found this little plug... the plug end seems to jsut be plastic but there are wires running to it.. i didnt see one on the other side.. only on the driver side... here is a picture.. i cant tell if its something for aftermarket fog lights the person before me might have had.. or what. any help is awesome

yeah it's just a sensor. If you have an after market bumper that's probably why it's there. But if not it just came loose. Be glad it's there. I had mine hanging out below my bumper forever. But i finally got fed up with it cause it was ugly and plugged it back into a little hole in the bumper. It should have just a little hole barely big enough for it to fit, as you can see it has clips that depress so they go in and hold it on the other side. Pretty simple. Doesn't hurt it to be like that though, it will bother you more than anything else.
