Dayum, that looks great. Problem #1 though, it's too low for a track car. It could have helped prevent the cracked bumper.

rofl. I wouldn't see why. It's just your standard cupkit haha. Nothing to write home to your mom about. I want your wheels :P

As for this winter.....I'm thinking of an engine build with mild goals of 400awhp. Prolly end up ditching the APR kit.

I just need to do more research so I can over build everything as this will be daily driven like it is now.

your offroad picture is my background right now. makes me smile in the morning. And your new picture made up my mind. I'm getting race springs.

Also, why is the underside of our A4s so wavy? I wish it was a crisp clean line under there.

I seriously wish I had an auto for my daily commute right now. Seems no matter what route I take I hit construction and do the 1st gear crawl. At least you have nice wheels and a drop to offset and give your car a nice look.

'tis true. I have nothing to hide. I wash my car less than I mod it.

I'm working on lowering it, I got some other stuff eating the funds right now.

Spoken like it is haha. I have batches of modding. Months with nothing then a few with. Now I have stuff eating funds and it kills me haha, because I've been wanting to play around with my setup and try some other things just to do it.

Batches of modding, check, fund eating, check. It's the life of me.

I'm way in debt from school, I'm at ~70% of my income potential for my experience, the economy said F-u to my raise potential and I keep spending money on speed parts

Anyways, somewhat back on topic. I find it funny that H&R calls those "Race" springs when they're less than ideal for racing. The clearance and suspension travel have been reduced drastically, and the only benefit is lower center of gravity. You don't get height adjustment, damping adjustment, or real tuning aspect. NTM it rides like ass.

In reality though the kit does out perform the stock suspension in the performance arena. The ride really isn't that bad. I've driven my car across the country a couple of times and it's actually pretty smooth. When getting the alignment I was able to get full oe spec minus the height of course haha. The picture is kind of tricky. You have to see a front shot of the car. I think the exhaust makes it look much lower than it is.

It looks much taller in this pic.

    Re: likeomgwthizgoinon

I wasn't looking at your exhaust to judge height, I was going off of the fender gap (or lack there of).

As far as all the B5's I've driven with coilovers, Sport, Race, Neuspeed, etc springs/suspension the "Race" springs by H&R are pretty damn hard. The stock dampers can't handle them, and aftermarkets (specifically Bilstien) can be worse for ride quality.

I'm down for a challenge though. My stock sport suspension with my H-Sports sways vs your H&R Race springs. Are you running a slick or an "all season".

Case in point, your tires are tucking.

    Re: likeomgwthizgoinon

Tires are tucking because my car has enough power to tuck under acceleration. I think the ride is soft compare to my wife's Tiens on her Wagon. I'm running an AS tire. Also consider I am running an 18" tire verse 16" stock.
