    Where to buy battery

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So my battery died today and I went to advance auto parts to get it tested and it failed . My 2003 B6 has about 60000 on it. They didnt have the battery needed in stock. Said it would take 2-3 days to get here. I was thinking of ordering one but I was wondering if there is a better option. Is the stealership going to rip me off i get one from them? What are other possible places? Is it better to just install myself? Thanks

    Re: Where to buy battery

When I had to get one it cost me about $120. Checked all the stores nearby, no one had one. Came home, looked online, Sears said they had one so I called them and low and behold they did. Only problem was I already went to that Sears asking for one and they said no, but I went back and magically they had one.

don't audi's need wet cell batteries, not regular kind? I thought you weren't supposed to use a regular battery.

Go to walmart to get your battery. Its basically a lifetime warrenty, everytime you bring it back to be replaced the warrenty starts over again. SO i just bring my gti battery in every 2 years.

    Re: Where to buy battery

just look out for the lock on the front side of the battery.. that was a pain in the ass to get out without the right tool... i think its like a 12mm (i think) Allan key... but you'll need a long one to reach it.

    Re: Where to buy battery

the lock on the battery was a bitch, took me a while how to overcome it without the right tools, cant remember how i did it but what PYCY said sounds familiar..

and i got mine for $50, red top from walmart. only thing is, i paid my friend's brother to get it for me, after he insisted on it... supposobely he just walked out of walmart with the thing in his hand..
