    Honest Answer

I did search but not really found the answer I am looking for some I am going to ask, taking the risk to get flammed.

I would like to lower my ride and I am heading for a Stasis setup. The car is today equipped with the sport suspension (I think) and I would like to know from you Guys, who have this setup, if the ride quality suffers a lot, meaning a ride really stiffcompared to the origin. I have a Koni Adjustable/H&R Race springs on my Golf VR6 and it's really stiff. I don't want to spend this kind of $$$ only for the look and then drive a piece of concrete, feeling every bump on the road.

    Thank you for your time

Look at your springs, if they are red then you have the sport suspension. If they are not red, then you do not have the sport suspension.

i dont think you have the sport suspension being that it would be just alittle bit lower with 19's on there like you have.

    Re: Honest Answer

I am not sure if Koni makes FSD for your car but from your description of what you are after, that would be my recommendation.

FWIW, I found the Stasis to be pretty drivable but there was still a slight amount of rear end bounce on the expansion joints in the highway.

The ride on the Streetsports doesn't suffer very much IMO especially if you have 17s or 18s. I have them with 20s and the ride is good enough for me (a tad stiff though)

it's the shocks that are red... springs are black.

looking at your pic you def have sport suspension. stassis street coils has a much more comfortable ride than your previous race spring setup. i had stassis on my b6 and the ride/comfort was very close to my sport susp with better handling and height adjustability.

I have street sports and the ride is great. Feels like the sport suspension that was on the A3 loaner I had. I drive back and forth to ATL almost every weekend and it's about 100 miles. It's a comfy ride on the highway. I mean, its significantly stiffer than the stock non-sport suspension, but not so harsh that I can't stand the ride. A great mix I think. Go FOR IT!

    Re: Honest Answer

i have koni's which are very similar to the stasis and the ride is nearly identical to the sport suspension (chose softer dampening setting). so you should be very happy.

    Re: Honest Answer

I have Stasis Streetsports and they ride very similar to stock sport suspension. You won't notice a difference unless you are looking for it...my friends rode in the car and did not notice a difference. Being my daily driver I of course notice a difference, the decrease in ride quality is minimal, but the increase in handling is remarkable.

    Re: Honest Answer

and sorry, I was referencing the Tracksports, not the Streetsports.

The Streetsports are the same thing as the Koni Coilovers with the addition of some plastic shims and other minor bits.

    Re: Honest Answer

They (STaSIS) pre-set the ride height and damping for what they call the optimal handling. They don't put their logo on it or anything. The box says KONI an so do the C/O's.

BTW Keith, I think a few people on here had some questions for you about your BT Kit.

    Re: Honest Answer

The Eibach Pro (progressive spring set) and Koni FSD combination will lower you another ~.5" from sport suspension height on the A4 Quattro and improve the ride while retaining the handling. One of my customers had purchased a 2008 A4 Quattro 2.0T this summer and that is what he had just done to it (sport suspension to the Eibach/Koni-FSD). I got a ride in it Monday and it road as well as my stock suspension over rough roads but with much better control in the turns and was very quiet.

For under $1000 installed, unless you need to go a lot lower for aesthetics or for serious track use, this combo is ideal for street performance without sacrificing the ride. If you go coilovers, Stasis StreetSport or Vogtlands are an excellent choice if ride quality and further lowering matter more than absolute track performance in which the Stasis TrackSports are a good bet.

I think I am going to order the Stasis Streetsport...hoping I am making the good choice
