    Brake pulsation ???

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I just installed the ECS floating front rotors, DBA slotted rear disc, Hawk HPS pads, and stainless lines. Im pretty easy on my brakes 95% of the time i drive, however they pulsate as if the ABS is kicking in, or theyre slipping. It's hard to describe but it doesnt feel right. Does anyone have any ideas about this issue? If there is specific characteristics to certain problems it could be please tell me and i will see if i notice it or is something i notice now.

    Thanks

brake pulsate when slowing down at low speed would be an abs ring has a crack in it, not sure if that is what ur having, any abs light on codes or does it do it all the time

well could be that you didnt break in the rotors and pads correctly. Did you break them in at all? this is especially tricky with new rotors. nice avatar btw.

thanks, i took the avatar from someone else here, it's awesome.

Well i almost never step on the brakes hard, but i i have a feeling the tard that installed them probably messed something up. I dont have any ABS lights, but at low speeds with low pressure it feels like the ABS is kicking it. Do the rotors need to be taken off to check the sensors?

    Re: Brake pulsation ???

well idk if you're saying if you broke those suckers in or not, but if your getting shutter at low speeds and you didnt follow break in procedure you may have glazed your brakes or possibly warped the rotors (worst situation). try a 5-6 50-0 stops applying 80-100 percent of braking power progressively one after the other then let the car rest (break in for pads) since you have rotors too, this may be different i would def call up the vendor you purchased the rotors from and ask them what is there break in procedure.
