c5 european s6 sedan

did they make a c5 sedan version of the s6 in europe? or was the avant the only version of the c5 s6 that was ever made? if there was a sedan, does anyone have pics?

40 hp in the motor for one. I would say it is probably similar to the differences of the C5 A6 Avant, and the C5 S6 Avant

The S6 also had different interior options and different option package available. I believe all came with NAV, some had heated seats/steering wheel with interior not available on A6, OnStar (whatever that package is called) different steering wheel, wheels and in '03, a few S6s had paddle shifters.

And as far as 2002 C5 wagons in the US, the 3.0L was the only motor you could get, unless you bought an S6.

I couldn't phrase that any better. You could get whatever interior and you could get heat, but depending on the combination, I'm pretty sure you couldn't always get both. I don't remember the specifics. I'm not even sure what interior/option package I have in the A6, but in '04, I couldn't get the cold weather package with the _____ interior.

And the next post was only for wagons. I always thought it was weird that you cold only get the 3.0 in the wagon, but you got your choice in the allroad.

All good man. Was just stating that I have both heated seats and steering wheel in my 02 4.2. Pretty strange you could only find the wagon in the 3.0 or the S6. Didn't know that... Learn something new everyday.

Do you have heated seats? Cause all 4.2's with heated seats are supposed to have the heated steering wheel too. My 01 4.2 has it. In fact, I think some 2.7t's have it as well. Maybe yours is just broken.

yes i have heated seats front and back, but I just had a look on AW at the model guide, heated steering wheel is listed from 2001 on. Another mod added to the wishlist

as far as interior options go, the only things i noticed to be diffent between my 4.2 and an s6 is the s6 has an alcantara headliner, and you could get the seat inserts done in alcantara as an option as well. Also, the S6 steering wheel with the buttons on it to change gear, and the S6 cluster, with the S6 logo on it and speed up to 300km/h not 280. other than that, only the extra horse power from the motor...

euro trunk lip (seen some with, and without. probably an option)
steering wheel
dash cluster
CF interior trim
euro recaros
headliner
unpainted doorblades (in the pic i posted)

this is all oem and not aftermarket.

not sure what is done different feature wise. but i think someone mentioned nav is standard.

also the motor is faster
