This sucks. The fall wheels are making a lot more sense now, assuming you're putting all seasons on them. Don't want to get caught in snow with performance summer tires.

Still haven't gotten winter tires yet! lol

I had to clear off 5cms of snow from the car, but all the roads were bare. Summer tires for now, but soon enough winters will go on

I was at Canadian Tire last night and there was a pretty decent size line up in the tire section. I'm assuming some people are beginning to scramble and grabbing winter tires asap.
This being Canada it will prob be like 15 degrees out again next week or something.
Summer's should be okay till Nov., without the presence of snow of course.

Ordered my snow tires a month ago and will sit on them until at least Nov, the "snow" we got last night was hardly enough to scare me into putting them on just yet. Throwing them on my stock 18" rims. The 19's are on their way right now.

Fall wheels would be nice to have but I think the money would be better spent elsewhere (on the car of course).

Shopping around for winters right now. I'm thinking of going with 18" RS6 reps and Nokian WRs for our mild Vancouver winters.

I bought a snow blower/thrower at a local small engine shop. There is a apocalyptic-mob-paranoid, War of the Worlds mentality when 'trying' to get one. Maybe it's hype, or maybe there is a shortage, like ordering snow tires.

I agree on the general prediction of more precipitation. I was kinda focusing day to day forecast when they'd show a whole 2-3 days or something and it all just be sun, or vice versa, and would throw off all plans.

I could technically put on the winters on right now with these temps in Toronto. I pull out of the garage, take a sharp left turn and I can feel the right front tire shuddering because if the lack of grip. Winter tires are ready to go on, but I have no desire to use that flimsy Audi jack and will wait to borrow somebody's hydraulic jack.

..... never thought I'd do this in the snow, but I'm taking the fiancees' car in tomorrow... a Hyundai Accent over my AWD car. Not taking the chance with summers down to the wear bars.

Snowing in O-town now with some accumulation on lawns but nothing on the roads yet though. For what its worth my Hankook K104's don't feel like plastic at the current temp (zero) although no problem spinning them.

Sorry to hijack but Tanner, did get caught in the traffic going westbound on Steeles toward Don Mills yesterday? Lamp post fell onto a PT Cruiser. Just asking since you're in Markham

Don't head down to that area, but the winds were pretty strong yesterday. Maybe the bolts on that lamp bost were rusted out like those on the DVP/401 overpass.

We had a lamp post in the area I live in snap off over a year ago, it's still broken, kinda ghetto if you ask me that they just left a broken lamp post there.

My car is in the body shop, and has been for 2 weeks... I get it back on Friday. Seeing the weird weather, I was afraid I'd have to pick it up and drive home in snow... with my 19" LM's and worn out Toyo T1Rs. Scaaaaaaary.

Haha, I love that some of you have fall wheels. I had that a few years ago when I had my B5. It was pretty awesome. I had my nice summers, then I had two sets of 17" RS4's, one with all seasons, another with snows. Was nice to have the transition... as it sucks to ride winters early, knowing how fast they'd wear out in higher temps.

But yeah, this year I've just got the 19" LMs and 15" steels. I considered putting some 17" Hankook W300s on my stock 17's... I've got the tires just sitting here, but yeah, am likely going to sell them. I'd prefer to put all seasons on the 17's, and make them a true "fall" setup. :)

Just got my snows put on and of course its 18 degrees out... However, Quebec is definitely jacking the tire supplies. I had to settle for my 3rd choice in Snow tires, booo!
