Need some help sourcing some springs.

    Hey all,

I want to purchase the Eibach Pro-Kit for my 08 Avant Quattro. Part number 1584.140.

I have had a few shops in the Bay Area try to order a set for me all with the same response, "Eibach has discontinued and got rid of this part due to lack of sales."

I've also found several websites selling the part. But these sites drop-ship from the manufacturer. That means they don't stock the part in their warehouse; they just give the order to Eibach and Eibach ships it. But I know Eibach doesn't stock the part now.

I need your help in locating a shop, warehouse or retailer that may potentially have this specific part in their inventory.

    Any suggestions?

Also, to keep focus on the topic above I'll nip a few comments that I see coming.

Why Eibach specifically and not H&R or competitor?
Eibach will drop my S-Line not too much more. Many other springs will drop it too much. The Eibach springs are Avant specific and a linear rate. Remember I have the garage issue of scraping. I also, use my Avant very frequently for work, hauling hundreds of samples.

    What about coils?
Coils are the most rational solution to my problem. I'm opposed to them for a few reasons. a)I'll never 'track' my car; it seems excessive for daily driving. b)Adjusting them at home is not an option for me as I don't have the tools. So I'd have to pay for labor each time I needed an adjustment. c) I'd hate to spend roughly 1500 on parts and labor to drop my car .75" - 1'. d) I don't drive aggressively. I don't need to shave seconds off of my commute through better handling.

I just want a nice moderate drop to improve the aesthetic.

    Try here
    http://www.optionsauto.com/products....t_on=&sort_by=

I bought some mods for my old car from these guys, good to deal with and prompt shipping

I was going to buy my H & R's thru them but found a better deal at Tirerack.com, for that matter you could try Tirerack as well.
