- Quick mod opinion needed, A or B.. >>> pics

got another mesh piece finally, and ran into problem... i shaved the letch or whatever u call it that unlocks the hood.. so i had to reach around emblem to grab it.. when mesh wasnt there its easy... but now, i have to figure out how to put mesh in and be able to unlock the hood after i pop it...

idea #1 - put the mesh in and remove the emblem piece... then i could slide my fingers between the grill and mesh and unlock it.. Few people told me i should completely debadge my car before i even decided to get the mesh.. but i think it looks cleaner with the emblem there... Plus, people who dont know audi's, wont be able to tell what kinda car is it since tails are smoked, bodykit and wheels are on, headlights are different and boser makes the front look like N/A car... and i do want clueless people to know its an audi not a Hyundai....

so what do u think, debage and just put mesh there, or f*ck with this and figure out how to put mesh and keep the badge, and still being able to unlock the hood...

The Europlate and crappy fogs really cheapen the look of your otherwise great looking car.

I've always been a fan of the rings... and agree that you should keep em. As for the latch, there might be a way to run a slightly taught cable down to the bumper? I know I've seen it done somewhere.

Both look good. It's kinda nice when you don't have them, keeps people guessing what kind of car it is. But the rings is a nice touch and definitley looks good. But its your car do what you like, not as your told.

The front end looks a little cluttered w/the euro plate and the fogs. However I'm sure the fogs help at night and in the rain.

Keep the rings. I always thought that when the rings were removed it looked like something was missing from the front, it looked like it was unfinished. Keeping the rings looks realll good.

keep the rings. But are you not able to just buy a new hood latch? Or is it not compatible with your hood? Because that would be the easy way to go.

i want to do the full mesh, through every ring... i dont want the latch handle showing :(

but looks more and more like its pretty much impossible unless i do something crazy, like wire a cable to pull on to a right headlight or something like that hahaha..

Your car looks VERY nice (and I hate boser hood too)...but you need to ditch the fogs!

ring or no ring they both look OK, but for the latching you could do a few things, one is adapt a door solenoid used when they shave the door handles and then you could either activate thru aftermarket remote, or another option could be to change the end of the old latch and have a small shaft or loped wire that pops out similar to the original latch did, the last idea would be to extend it to one side and make a mechanism that can be accssed from between the poped hood and headlight which will act as the puller ofr the latch, I guess the modding continues... hope it helps.

Route a cable to the headlight washer openings, then use a solenoid to pop the washer door open when the release is activated.

he doesnt have the fogs for looks. with that said The only reason i would like it without the rings is because the front already looks too busy. SO= keep them if aftermarket fogs come off. Lose them if you keep them. later put them back on cause audi without the rings is like a kia

you can bend the pull straight and down. that way when you pop the hood, you can stick your hand in between the hood and bumper and unlatch it.
