In Albany and need some suggestions...

My company sent me out to Albany this week to head up a pilot program. I was hoping to get some advice on what there is to do around here for some social entertainment. My co-worker and I went to Jillian's last night to watch the Pats game and had a good time. However, the scene was pretty dead and mostly older people.

Need some suggestions on what to do around this area. Thanks in advance.

I hear something about "The Carlos" or something resembling that name, a gentleman's bar. I couldn't really understand the guy that told us last night at the bar, he was drunk and had a thick accent.

While you're a bit late for "Track" season, Saratoga Springs is always a lot of fun. The crowd there is mixed in age, as well, but with Skidmore college students being back in school, there should be plenty of college kids around as well.

The street on which Jillians was located - Pearl St - is the main entertainment district in Albany. Blue 82 is a nightclub/lounge there that offers good drinks/scene. Other more "college-y" options are on Lark Street which has an abundance of bars, including my favorites: Lionheart and Bombers. Tonight is trivia night at Bombers so it should be pretty busy.

Thank you very much. Maybe we'll hit up Bombers, sounds like a good time.

Did you end up at Bombers? What did you think about it?
