Cruise control crapout?

For the past 2 weeks, Mine hasn't worked. I tried resetting it, and did the whole "hold tab, push pedal, cruise" shpiel.. I got it to work once the other day, but it only lasted 3 minutes before it turned off.

Is it mechanical, or electrical? Any help in setting this right would be greatly appreciated.

if it turns off, that sounds like a cruise vacuum leak to me.
