    Battery or Ignition Problems?

So my car was sitting from late August til about now, as I went away to college. I didn't see the need to disconnect the negative power as I told my brother to start my car as often as he could, at least once a week. Of course he forgot and when I came home my car was dead.

I got jumped and went over to my buddies where he had a battery charger. We left it on for a couple hours and it was good to go. I drove the car about 200 miles that day (in one trip) and I figured any power lost would be given back through the engine. Started great for saturday and sunday, no problems at all, then today I went to start it and it wasnt completely dead but just wouldnt start. Click click click and as soon then my speedometer/rpm indicators would shake for a second. There is some power in the car but I guess not enough to start. Is this is a simple change in battery or something more?

    Thanks for the help.

    Re: Battery or Ignition Problems?

im guessing it is your battery for sure. When batteries die completley it reall takes the life out of them and now its not holdin a charge.

try a new battery and see if that works.

Your battery has dropped a cell or is internally shorted. I used to see the shaking needles in Nissans all the time.
