I assume you mean by comparing times since that setup was a "GT32". I would guess/hope this guy is still working on tuning.

Do you mean because eliminator times are so close to that time and trap even though that is a 2.0 with a GT32?

Edit: someone beat me to it.

He must not know what turbo he has, but it is most likely just a GT3071r or a GT3076r.

    Re: B6 BAT

If I fix my leak I will be at the track this Saturday and I will put my life on it that 12.60 will be broke unless there is some unforseen problem and this will be on pump gas and meth since I cant run high boost with race gas till I figure out the injector situation. Thinking about putting in my 750cc injectors with this tune and seeing what happens. Also need to put in my fuel pump. I cleaned the engine with degreaser and then ran the car in the driveway for several minutes and no oil leaked. I then went and drove like 5 miles and came back home and there is oil on the side again around the metal part of dipstick tube at the base and a little higher around the oil filter housing where it bolts to the block. I am gonna clean the engine again and take a shorter drive to see if it is coming from the filter housing.

Don't you have a brand new motor? How is it leaking oil?

    Re: B6 BAT

I dont know how it is leaking, I reused that metal gasket that goes between the block and the oil filter housing and it got a little bent so I dont know if that is the cause or not. Also my dipstick tube got a little bent when it was shipped and I had to bend it back so that gave me a little thought that maybe it had a hairline crack in it, but there is oil a little higher than the dipstick tube so I am not sure what the deal is. Also dont understand why nothing leaked in the 5 minutes I ran the car in driveway but then driving 5 miles caused oil to be all over side of engine around the dipstick tube and filter housing area.

Well, obviously when you drive the car, there is alot more oil pressure.

As for that metal gasket between the block and oil-filter housing, I had to take that housing apart and didnt replace the gasket, and it leaks ever-so-slightly.....so if yours was bent and you didnt replace it, I would be willing to bet that is the problem

yeah, need to get more degreaser and do it again and just drive through the neighborhood or something and come back real quick so not to much oil gets spread around this time.

I said it would happen also but the reality is it didn't. Remember, I ran my car in the 1/8 mile, 1.7 60ft, 8.2 ET and 87.5MPH after only 3 runs. But this time I was at least a half a second and 5-7mph off. BAT and 7200rpms, aren't friends. If you can't spin the tires out of the hole you don't stand a chance.

I was having a rich running issue that started when I went to that file. It turned out to be a blown eng. management fuse that I overlooked. I had Revo flash it back to the 7200 file for testing reasons, this was before I found the blown fuse.

Exactly what I was thinking. Garrett lists for GT32's:

    GT3267-452233-5
    GT3267-452234-2
    GT3271-452203-1

Yes I know how the street and strip differ, I have been down the 1/4 a shit load of times. I have crossed my car up sideways before at the track while getting better grip on the street and have also bogged at the track.

Well I just went out on a newly paved road and an old road and did a launch on both exactly how I have always done it with the GTRS and I was only running 20psi and blazed the tires for like 20 feet and could shift in to 2nd gear fine. I can tell you right now that I will have ZERO problems at the track and have no idea what your guys problems are Guess you all need practice or something

And if I dont get the leak fixed by this Saturday I am gonna strap some of those oil diapers on the side of my engine and around my subframe to catch any dripping oil and I am gonna hit the track anyway. IT'S ON! I am tired of all the doubters and excuses.

Chris what did you run for settings at the track? Boost, timing, gas, meth, anything removed from the car like spare tire or subwoofer if you have one.

I am gonna go running 24psi, 93 octane, meth and timing I will find out when I log before going and will take out my spare and subwoofer but leave seats in.

24.5 psi (the max I can get out of my Profec Type S without changing the springs again) 93oct, B9T9, plus 5 degrees via Lemmi, 100% denatured alcohol in the WM. I was getting CF's were 7-8s thru the traps, but heard no pinging so I felt it was safe. Full interior, no spare but I never have one. Tires @ 40psi.

Cool, same deal I will be doing, 24psi, B9T9 and denatured alcohol in the meth. Have never ran it but im gonna try it out. Dont know about timing but doubt I will go to 5 with lemmi. Should be interesting comparison

And if I dont get the leak fixed by this Saturday I am gonna strap some of those oil diapers on the side of my engine and around my subframe to catch any dripping oil and I am gonna hit the track anyway. IT'S ON! I am tired of all the doubters and excuses.
What size and brand tires are you running? I've only ran it down the track about 15 times, more seat time will help. I might have to go again Friday night, I can't let some Key West reject beat me to the punch, Shawn are you down?

20psi is good. I put a few car lengths on a 3071 b5 with both of us on 93 and meth running 24psi

You mean Marathon im not gay! And I have 19s with 235/35/19 in front and 245/35/19 in rear 8.5" wide front 9.5" wide in rear

Tires are Falken GRB 452 in rear and just go new tires in front which were cheap and are Nexen N3000 but seem to be good so far.

I emailed him and he is running a GT32 but is upgrading to a GT35r.

The GT32 is old design, journal bearing non R turbo and has a power rating that is lower then a GT3076r. So its just odd to see someone actual using it when there are plenty of better journal bearing turbos out there.

I think the "montrealracing.com" water mark on the picture gave that away to everyone.
