I think my cat may have been going, then at the track yesterday I fully blew it. What would be the symptoms of a blown cat?

Have you seen any chunks of mesh come out of your exhaust or any debris for that matter?

If it is your CAT you should get a CEL.

    Re: Catalytic Converter bad?

Yea, CEL came on like a week ago at the track. Car in limp mode, no boost leaks no nothing. Boost would come on a slightly uneven, but nothing major and there was a lack of power. COuldn't figure it out plugs and everything good and boost was still coming on uneven and hearky jerky. At the track put my foot 2 the floot and I heard the sound of marbles in the exhaust for a second where the cat would be. Now its got absolutely no power and will stutter, stutter, stutter, then take off with reduced power.

    Re: Catalytic Converter bad?

Sounds like a bad cat to me. If you tap on the cat does it rattle? When my cat went bad the cells inside the cat broke down and were loose. Your lack of power/boost could be explained by a clogged cat. Why not just order a Labree hi flow cat and call it a day?

HMmm, 250. Will that throw a CEL or codes with the high flow? Are there gonna be any noticable gains? I mean I might just throw the jersey guy a few bucks and stick a reg cat in if its not gonna be noticable or not gonna pass inspection.

get the high flow, it'll be worth it. and no cel with hfc's. but you do get them with testpipes.
