No spark, lost throttle after lurches and skips while driving

This is my problem, some time ago I get a check engine light, have it read @ Midas while they change my oil,(& broke my dipstick w/o feeling the need to tell me) & am told engines running lean, MAF might need replaced. In the meantime the car would only ever lurch or miss a beat @ 65mph, I'd hit 120-130 & clear the check engine light & the car ran fine for a month or more. Then I come out of work, start the car & have no throttle, got maybe 5mph around my parking lot parked & turned it off. I started it & it drove home fine. 3 or 4 days later we go to the gym & in the parking lot the car stalls, with 2 seat heaters, rear defrost, heat, lights, & radio on. I let it go & 2hrs later come back to it, it cranks but doesn't catch for about 10 min, it finally catches & we head home when it loses throttle control, coast to a gas station garage, they only have obd, no vag coding & don't touch it but recomend the shop down the road, they pulled p0010, & I think p0683. Take it to the foreign car garage & they change the oil & vacuum hoses, clear the CEL, & call it quits, 2 days later CEL back, coil 3 was bad, cyclinder actually hitting plug. Since I needed the car back to go to work they placed a test coil in it for the weekend & I will get the new one tomorrow. I picked up the car, drove it only to have it misfire @ high 2's, opened the hood to notice coil 1 now slips off, put it back thinking it was one time only, but the next day it pops off again while I'm driving causing the CEL to blink before staying on. Switched coils 1& 2 & they stay put. CEL still on but I figured it would be the misfires from earlier. Drive 60 miles & car loses throttle as I'm pulling in the driveway. I now have no spark & the car can sit & crank all day but not catch, 500 down from the garage & not sure I can continue to use them.
I have an 01 1.8 w/ 111k & I know gas isn't a problem, I have half a tank right now, 93, & you can hear the fuel pump before you turn the car. Car does have a coolant leak, might be affecting the temperature readings, but I can't imagine it would cause all this trouble. I was told the oil was filthy and that was what was confusing the camshaft sensor. Thoughts any and everybody please!

Wow, sorry to see everybody stumped, if anybody experiences anything of the sort its a simple camshaft position sensor, fixed and back to the road better than ever!
