Low Boost?

Hey this is my first time posting on this forum, I have been a member for a while but have never posted anything. I would appreciate your help with this. I recently got the GIAC X program installed on my car with an AWE S-Flo. Ever since i got it chipped and the S-flo i have been running low boost in stock mode and in chipped mode. In stock mode i am running like 6-7lbs of boost and i remember that i was running 8-10lbs of boost before the chip in stock mode. When i put it in the chipped mode i spike at 20 lbs but it only holds at like 13 or 14 lbs. I thought that with the chip it was supposed to hold from 16-18 lbs of boost. By the way i have a 2001.5 S4. There are no lights on, on my dash so i was wondering if this is the boost that im supposed to be running or if its low, and if its low what are the reasons that it would be running low boost.

Spike 20 psi on K03s? Jesus....

Yeah i still have my original K03's with 121K+ miles on them and they are still going strong!

20 psi does seam too high for k03's It sounds like its overboosting then cutting the boost.

Are you able to vag the car? see if there are any codes? I know when I was overboosting because I had mbc set too high it was giving me a:
17963 - Charge Pressure: Maximum Limit Exceeded
P1555 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

and no CEL.

have you asked the company who had the software installed from?

I do realize they are going strong, but I'd be careful how much you push them at that high of boost or they may not last long.

No im not able to vag the car i go to school at Miami University of Ohio and im kinda in the middle of no where i will be able to vag it when i go home for thanksgiving. It looks like i will have to do that then. Do you think it maybe something like the N75 boost regulator, i dont know if my car has that or not but i was told something about it by one of my friends....?

I bet you have the N75 unless it was unhooked and run mbc stand alone. There are countless posts on n75 and mbc's you can do some research and read up on it.

its probably just the weather... i noticed with my giac x that in the summer time with 85+ degrees i was hittin 20/21psi spike and 15psi hold with a slow taper to redline... in the winter i hit 17/18psi spike with a 15psi hold with the taper...

the turbos dont have to work as hard in the winter time as the air is alot denser..
