question: if your city lights go out, do you get a bulb out warning?

Yeah... the city lights are monitored by the DIS. These are the ones with the in-line resistors so that the DIS doesn't go off.

I'm seriously wondering how you made that fit. Ecodes use BAX9 socket lights.

    Re: Ziza LED city lights...

i just did some research and the the bulbs used are type 194/W5W compatible..our H6W are the same as the W5W/BAX9

im guessing he did not put any resistors inline because he ordered the B7 kit from ECS

Here's a pic taken at dusk. These are the Ziza's that ECS sells that have the resistors wired in. It's a pigtail wiring setup with the bulb wired to the resistor and the termination after the resistor. Fits really nicely. No DIS thrown either.

    Never say never.

I just thought someone came up with a better design and people wanted it so there was no reason to continue offering them.

If enough people wanted the regulators I'll make up a bunch of them over a weekend or something.

i would buy a kit if you could design it to be plug n' play. i don't want to splice wires. my guess is that that Ziza will release a kit for the H6W scoket style.

I don't see how that makes sense, 194 and W5W bulbs are wedge based bulbs, H6W and BAX9 are bayonet based bulbs. There is no compatibility with these two different type of bulbs unless he switched out his whole city light wiring.

To the OP, did you add your city light wiring to the headlights when you got them or did they come that way?

    Re: Ziza LED city lights...

The Ziza bulbs are a plug-and-play solution for the E-Codes. They consist of a LED in the correct barrel style module with wiring leading to resistors that then terminate to a wedge 194-style base that plugs into the E-Code's wiring. Very easy to install.

Strangely enough, you have to call ECS and ask for them. These are not the $19.95 194 style LEDs. This kit is $49.95.

    Re: Ziza LED city lights...

just to clarify, you have halogen ecodes. the city light is W5W/194 type plugin.

for us which have xenon/bixenon ecodes, our city lights are H6W. so this only works for those who have halogens

    Re: Ziza LED city lights...

Resistors are just a temporary fix to try and fool the ECU to think there is a bulb in there.

I don't know what the Ziza uses in their setup but when i first introduced the resistor fix we suggested a 5W power resistor. A smaller resistor would work but if it got too hot it will burn up and fail.

The regulator I came up with supplies the LED a constant 12v power input.
