Is this aftermarket? If so what is it? Thanks

    I gather:
    A4
    UP787277.Key (or Vag)?
    07.09.06 (could be 00)?

    Re: What chip is this?

I would not be too concerned about the maker of it. They all basically do the same thing. Just some grant a little more umph than others do. As long as you are boosting 17+psi, ride with joy. People like me had to dish out $500 for my flashed ECU.

But I am more than sure this inquiry is more on the basis of curiosity. And with that being said, I have no idea what the chip is. What you could possible do is try and track down the person whom had it installed. Try having a talk with the PO or dealer you got it from to see if they could grant you some kind of info as to the where abouts the vehicle was delivered from (they are not permitted to really give that info out, but if they are cool they would. plus telling them "why?" would def be an incentive for them to help you out). With a little investigation, you can find it out.

    Yea, but it's worth it.

I can tell you it's not Unitronic or APR. At some point the other guys have used a solder in chip. ... I think.

Did you buy it locally? If you did I would search up what the shops around you offer. I don't think that is an APR chip. I remember seeing the chip say APR on it.

That is a standard solder on chip board. A few of the tuners used it and GIAC used it for the "stock chip" option.

Both Neuspeed and Upsolute used that board and pin design.

    Re: What chip is this?

Biggest local shop here only does GIAC. I called them and showed the pic and they said it wasn't them. The guy I got the car from doesn't know anything about it. I put a gauge in and saw 18psi, so I guess I can just call it whatever chip I want?

It had "Savana Powers" written on the case with a sharpie (I assume was the costumer). Then it had a sticker that said something like "Savana (written in red pen on the blank line) after installing ECU turn the key to the on position for 30 seconds without starting the car, this is to allow the throttle body to re align"

    Re: What chip is this?

I would have to say its going to be a Upsolute chip seeing that it has UP at the start of the file number.
