car is B7 S4. my left rear brake light is busted. Can anyone tell me:

    1. How to get to the bulb? I cant seem to figure out how to get to the tail lamp assembly.
    2. Where can I buy bulbs? Do i have to buy at the dealership? or maybe autozone carries 'em?

    many thanks.

Don't know if the B7 is the same - should be. Look in the trunk. You'll see a carpet covered cap that sits in line with the tail light assembly. Open that and you'll see the screw that you need to remove. That holds the entire assembly in place. Then just replace the bulb you need. My recommendation is to get the bulbs from the dealer. After running around from auto store to auto store with charts that don't give the correct info, I finally ended up with the right ones.

Be careful to not to let the screws fall into/between the light and the body cavity.

I just replaced mine and Advanced Auto had the replacement bulbs. Just ask the guy instead of trying to read the guide books they have....saves so much time.
