    ? for those with OEM base roof rack/bike racks...

    I just installed the OEM Base Roof Rack on my A4. I plan on getting the Thule SideArm. http://www.treefortbikes.com/376_333...e-carrier.html

    Do any of you guys have this rack or any Thule bike racks on your OEM Roof rack? Not sure if I can just by this Side arm & it clamps around the OEM bars or I need to buy some sort of adapter kit since I have OEM bars and not the Thule bars. Any information would help. Thanks.

    I need to know this exact same answer.


    I have the Audi-branded roof rack, but need to know if the Thule Sidearm will attach without any extra adapters.


    Can anyone confirm?

    Audi/vw racks don't allow parts to snap on like normal square bar racks. They have to have t bolts. Essentially attachments slide on sideways onto boths rails at once.

    Completely forgot I started this thread, I have been running the Thule Side-Arm on my OEM base rack for a season now. Works well.
