    Timing Belt Help.

    Hey ive never really requested help for a job, but im almost done with it all but cannot figure out how to get the damn timing belt on. i took the old one off and now it seems like it is impossible to get the new one on. its so tight =/

    anyone willing to lend a hand sometime next week. i live in long beach area.

    looks easy but i just cant get that damn belt on i swear theres some kinda trick to it =/

    Yes. Put the belt on first without the tension damper on.
    Then put on the lower bolt of the damper, and rotate the damper clockwise up into position and insert the second bolt on it. You're never gonna get the belt on with everything in place first. You have to have the belt on first, them slip the damper into place..
